The mail received by JustGamblers from Priority Play outlining all the details about the closure and consequences to California players.

In information received by JustGamblers, Priority Play announced that all sweepstakes casino brands they manage will cease operations in California, effective December 22, 2025, following the passage of California Assembly Bill AB831.

There are fpir sweepstakes casinos affected, and it has consequences to all California players active on these platforms:

Starting at 10:00 a.m. EST on December 22, new player registrations from California will be blocked, and existing California players will no longer be able to participate using Sweepstakes Coins (SC). While Gold Coins (GC) will remain unaffected, all Sweeps Coins gameplay will end on that date.

All players with active balances should ensure they meet any wagering requirements for promotional sweepstakes coins and redeem eligible balances as soon as possible. Any remaining Sweeps Coin balances will be forfeited on December 26, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. EST.

Players who want to redeem Sweeps Coins must complete KYC verification by December 17. No KYC submissions will be accepted after this deadline, and redemptions will only be available to verified users through December 26.

Mail-in requests for the so-called Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE) for free sweepstakes coins from California will no longer be accepted. This includes requests that were made on or after December 10, 2025.
This exit by Priority Play marks one of many brands leaving California ahead of January 1, 2026.
